Hope You All Had a Very Blessed Thanksgiving

I am hoping you all had a very blessed Thanksgiving.  Blogging every day is just too hard.  I have been visiting with my sister-in-law who has been in the hospital for almost two weeks, and my friend's daughter and my friend, Breann, who has been in ICU.  Work has been crazy, taking Sarah to and from work, etc.

I cooked Thanksgiving over at my husband's mother and father's house this year.  BIG 22-pound turkey with cornbread stuffing (in the bird and out of the bird), 10 pounds of mashed potatoes (I felt like I was in the Army over the garbage can peeling whole potatoes with a peeler), massive amounts of Durkee green bean casserole (Army sized can of green beans), homemade gravy (with the drippings from the turkey ~ YUM), sweet potatoes in butter (my family knows how I feel about these, but I did have one little one), french bread loaves, cranberry sauce (my great niece Lexi loved this the best), and, of course, pumpkin pie from Sam's Club (better than homemade) with Redi-Whip on the top.  The appetizers for earlier were cashews in a can and celery stuffed with cream cheese (YUM, again) =)  It was a very long day.

After we were done with Thanksgiving at my in-laws, we went home, fed the dogs, and then we were off to my brother Gregg's family's get together (where we had dessert).  We played lots of Apples to Apples.  Got to see both great nieces, McKenna and Kylie (both are about 5 months old).

The day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday as it is called), I slept in.  My daughter and I went to TGIF's for dinner (with two $25 Gift Certificates I had).  My long-time childhood friend, Michael, was working the front door that evening, and I got to see him for just a bit and say "Hi".  It was nice to see him.  Sarah and I had fried green beans for appetizer (YUM).  I got the Chicken with BBQ Bourbon Sauce on it with a loaded baked potato and a side salad; Sarah got the prime rib with blue cheese crown and loaded baked potato.  We then went to the mall to see what "deals" were available on this Black Friday.  We got a few things for gifts for Christmas.

Sarah decided she wanted to go to Eat 'N Park.  So we went, and I got the Stickey Ala-Mode, and she got the pumpkin milk shake.  We then went home.

I am very thankful for my many blessings God has bestowed upon me.  First and foremost, He has blessed me with the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ and with His unconditional love.  Secondly, He has blessed me with my church and all of its members.  Thirdly, He has blessed me with a wonderful husband and a beautiful daughter and three fun loving dogs.  He has also blessed me with many wonderful extended family members.  He has blessed me with wonderful friends.  He has blessed me with a house to live in, food to eat, a job to go to, a car to drive in, etc.  God has blessed me with so much, and I thank Him every day for these blessings.  I love you Lord, and I lift my voice.  To worship You, oh my soul rejoice.  Thank you for loving me my Savior and God.

May you know God loves you, too =)

Okay, so I am "flunking" on the "blogging"

I so wanted to try to blog everyday, but it's impossible.  Work was very "hectic" this week because one of my co-workers was sick Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, and I had to fill in for part of her job (so about three hours I lose each day doing my job).

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul
and with all your strength."
Deuteronomy 6:5

Life can be "trying" some days.  On those days when I feel down or depressed, I think of God and my spirits lift.  God gave the "ultimate" sacrifice to us, so that we might be given eternal life.  Yes, I do "Love the Lord MY God with all MY heart and with all MY soul and with all MY strength!"  One of my favorite songs is "Love the Lord" by Lincoln Brewster.  The link is below.  Enjoy =)

When I am at work and I feel like a need a little "lift" in my day, I bring up K-Love (Christian music) on the internet and listen while I am working.  It really makes my day go a lot smoother, and brightens my day.  Be sure to check out K-Love online at www.klove.com K-LOVE

I hope you will enjoy listening to K-Love as much as I do.  Blessings to you.

New Blogger ~ Day #2 ~ Monday

Good Morning and Happy Monday to each of you.  My Monday starts off with a cup of coffee with gingerbread cream (YUM).  Not sure what to blog on this morning, as I am already running behind schedule.  I hit the snooze three times (even though I am a morning person).  It is 7:13 am, and I really need to get a shower and get ready for work, but I sit here "blogging".

I have one "follower", but she does not know how to become a "follower".  Is there a trick?  I am thinking she just has to just click the "follower" button.  Log on and become a "follower".  Just not sure.  See . . . . I am a "newbie" to this whole "blogging" thing.

Okay, coffee is KICKING IN, and I really have to get ready to go to work.  It is going to be a L-O-N-G day at work.  Then come home and figure out what is for supper.  I am thinking hello Three Cheese Prego Sauce and a pot of pasta.  Works for me!!!  =)  Got laundry to do and then Deacon meeting at church at 7:00 pm.

Have a BEAUTIFUL Monday fellow bloggers!!!  Will blog again later.  =)

My first blog post ever

Okay, so I have created a blog, and this is my "official" first post EVER on it.

I have no idea what I am doing (any ideas).

I have no followers.  I want to put my thoughts, cares and concerns onto a blog, where I might be able to help someone else.

I would like to start blogging, also, about my pastor's weekly sermons.  I really enjoy his sermons, and I would love to share those with each of my viewers (if I ever get any).

We just finished up studying the book "Outflow" in our small group at church, and also the weekly sermons were centered around this book, too.  I will share my "notes" from past sermons on this book in a future blog.

For now, I am going.  Tomorrow is Monday (another work day).  I pray you will have a blessed Monday and a good week.  =)
